It takes labor, love and money to put MMMC on.  Thanks to the 2007 MMMC financial contributors (at right), and to the four sponsoring  organizations who contribute money and staff time.

Partner Organizations

Four national progressive philanthropic organzations work together with previous MMMC participants to provide this important space for young people with wealth to gain a better understanding of the progressive philanthropic movement.

Resource Generation

Resource Generation is an alliance of young people supporting and challenging each other to effect social change through creative, responsible and strategic use of our financial and other resources. We promote innovative ways for young people with wealth to align their personal values and political vision with their financial resources. We provide accessible information on the personal, technical, political, and philanthropic aspects of wealth; connect young people with wealth to progressive, money-related knowledge and experience among young people. We provide programming in eight cities across the country, offer a Donor Organizing Institute, organize an annual conference for young people involved in family philanthropy and publish several publications.

Tides Foundation

Tides Foundation partners with donors to increase and organize resources for social change. We deliver effective grantmaking programs, create opportunities for learning, and build community among donors and activist organizations. Tides actively promotes change towards a health society, one which is founded on principles of social justice, broadly shared economic opportunity, a robust democratic process, and sustainable environmental practices. We believe healthy societies rely fundamentally on respect for human rights, the vitality of communities, and a celebration of diversity.

Third Wave Foundation

The Third Wave Foundation is the only national activist philanthropic organization for young women between the ages of 15 and 30. Through grantmaking, networking and public education campaigns, Third Wave informs and empowers a generation of young women activists. Our goal is to support young women doing innovative social change work across a range of issues, whether environmental justice or prison privatization. As an organization led by young women and men of diverse races, economic backgrounds and sexual orientations, Third Wave strives to expand feminism to include a range of voices and build a strong and sustainable movement that will be at the forefront of social change.

Funding Exchange

Funding Exchange is a national membership organization of publicly supported, community-based foundations. It is a unique partnership of activists and donors dedicated to building a base of support for progressive social change through fundraising for local, national, and international grantmaking programs. The Funding Exchange network supports progressive community-based organizations that address the root causes of social problems. FEX reaches beyond direct services to directly address the underlying conditions that foster inequity, lack of opportunity, discrimination, and economic exploitation.
