The People - How often do you get to hang out with 70 other amazing young people and have deep, personal conversations about money, giving, relationships, family, class privilege, and whatever else is on your mind? Whether you're coming back to your old community of friends or coming for the first time, you will be inspired, challenged and supported.

2. The Keynote Speaker – Meizhu Lui will speak on the racial wealth divide. She will also explore progressive donor communities and what it means for young progressive people with wealth to look at diversity within our community. She is the new Director of the Closing the Racial Wealth Gap Initiative of the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, and is co-author of The Color of Wealth: The Story Behind the US Racial Wealth Divide. We are excited to have her!

3. Pods! Your pod is small group of people with whom you will meet for an hour each day, getting a chance to connect with the same people and re-visit conversations, check in and build community as the retreat unfolds.

4. The Planning Committee is creating a conference program and structure that will be an inclusive space for young people of color with wealth.

5. MMMC is an increasingly collaborative space that is inclusive of the whole MMMC community. A rereat focued on young people with wealth, the community includes many individuals who do not identify as young people with wealth such as some sponsoring organizational staff and some presenters.

6. There is a fabulous line-up of workshops including RG’s Create Your Own Giving Plan, a Hip Hop Theater Approach to Exploring Class Privilege, a Dialogue Across the Boundaries of Class and Race Privilege, and Financial Literacy 101.

7. This year will feature a plenary on the elections and electoral work so come be part of this dynamic conversation whatever your perspective!

8. If you have questions about investing, money management, what the different words and terms mean, and how to best align your invested resources with your values, come to the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Fair to talk with professionals specializing in progressive investing.

9. Come take your ideas, action plans, and questions to the next level. What ever you’re thinking about or working on, get the resources and community support to take the next steps.

10. Location, Location, Location. The IONS center is a beautiful retreat space in the hills of Petaluma California. There are lots of places to meet outside, great food, and it’s an excuse to make a trip to the Bay Area and maybe stay a few extra days.
